Sally Macaulay is the Executive Director for the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art. She is very active in the community, sits on several local Boards of Trustees, an active member of the Cobb Chamber and is a member of North Metro Church. Sally is actively involved in Kiwanis Club of Marietta, was in the Leadership Cobb Class of 2013, was in the Honorary Commanders Class of 2015, and was inducted into Women of Achievement for the YWCA. Sally was the organizer and creator of Chalktoberfest which was started in 2014 with 20 regional artists. In 2019 she brought in 110 artists from 6 countries and this event became an international festival which has won numerous awards including, Best Festival for Cobb County, Mayor’s Art Award and Cobb Travel and Tourism’s On Spot Award for the Best Event in the County. This Festival has brought in an economic impact of 6.2 million dollars to the City of Marietta. She currently resides in Kennesaw with husband, Hugh and has 3 children – Katie (27), Claire (25) and Hugh (22).
