The Rotary Club of Marietta Metro is partnerin with FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults and Children) to sponsor a collection day of new and gently used home medical equipment. These items would then be redistributed to deserving indiviuals. The event will be held on Saturday, Apriil 23. FODAC will park their truck in the First Presbyterian Church parking lot, 189 Church Street, Marietta, between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm for the collection. Several Marietta Metro Rotarians will be in attendance throughout the day to assist with unloading equipment. In addition, some equipment may be picked up at individual's homes before and after the event. Marketing includes letters to all churches in Marietta and to all funeral homes in Cobb County. Notices were posted on Linked in and Facebook, notices to all the Rotary Clubs in Cobb County, Retirement communities and the local newspapers. WellStar Health System, Cobb County Senior Services and MUST Ministries were contacted. We will utilize the services of our local Interact club. Students assisted by manning banners on the roadway by the church throughout the day. The money spent for the project was for copies and mailings.

Many thanks to Chris Brand and Ron Hess of FODAC for their tremendous help. Chris is a member of the Stone Mountain Rotary Club.
